Dr Aleksandra Tubić(female), associate professor at UNSPMF since 2018 in the field of Environmental Protection, a member of the Department of Chemistry, Biochemistry and Environmental Protection since 2003. She graduated Chemistry in 2003 at UNSPMF and received her Ph.D. in Chemistry in the field of Environmental protection in 2010 (Dissertation: “Effect of ozone, ozone/hydrogen peroxide and hypochlorite on natural organic matter and oxidation by-products content in water after coagulation, flocculation and adsorption processes”). The focus of her scientific research is drinking water quality and treatment (removal of natural organic matter, arsenic and organic micropollutants in water treatment), microplastic in the environment, remediation technology, chemistry and environmental engineering, Chemistry and technology of environmental protection. In the last couple of years, she has been intensively worked on the investigation of the microplastic pollution identification and interactions with organic pollutants in surface waters and wastewaters. She realized her scientific work through participation in 5 projects funded by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development of the Republic of Serbia, 9 projects financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technological Development of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and 11 international projects (SCOPES, FP5, FP6, EUREKA, IPA, TEMPUS, ERASMUS, COST, HORIZON EUROPE). She was involved in more than 50 studies related to research in environmental protection and technology. In 2007 within the FP6 project stayed on professional training at Fraunhofer Institute (Stuttgart, Germany) and in 2009 in Helmholtz-Zentrum für Umweltforschung UFZ (Leipzig, Germany). She is the co-author of more than 100 publications, of which 53 are papers in SCIe journals. She is quality manager of the Laboratory for environmental chemical analysis “Dr Milena Dalmacija” accredited according to ISO 17025 protocols from 2012. She is a member of the professional associations: International Water Association (IWA Groundwater Management Specialist Group), Serbian Chemical Society, Serbian Society for Water Protection, Association for Water Technology and Sanitary Engineering.
