Dr Dušanka Cvijanović is an associate professor of the Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad (FSUNS). She is an expert in the ecology and classification of aquatic habitats. Dušanka was the coordinator of the research group and a key expert for aquatic and wetland habitats in the national project dealing with the establishment of the EU Natura 2000 ecological network in Serbia. Also, Dušanka obtained a specialization in freshwater ecology and hydromorphology at the University of Dundee, UK. As an expert on aquatic macrophytes, she participated in scientific projects of great importance for the Danube basin. Currently, prof. Cvijanović coordinates the project of the Provincial Secretariat for Higher Education and Scientific Research, AP Vojvodina, Republic of Serbia, number 142-451-2095/2022-01 – “Assessment of the trophic status of the Danube floodplain using UAV photogrammetry” and is administrator of the ERASMUS+ capacity building project: ECOBIAS: Development of master curricula in ecological monitoring and aquatic bioassessment for Western Balkans HEIs.
